Cheap 'N Sweet II is a newly released Sorghum Sudangrass. It is a major development in our on-going efforts to bring more value from our sorghum sudan germ plasm. Cheap 'N Sweet II, an advancement from our Cheap 'N Sweet line, has many more advantages over the original Cheap 'N Sweet. These advantages include reaching 8 to 12 feet in height, excellent early vigor coming out of the ground, very good drought tolerance and resistance to Downy Mildew, and/or other foliar diseases. It has very sweet stalks, very quick regrowth; and can be used for GREEN CHOP, GRAZING, BALING, or ENSILED. Hi-Test BMR Hybrid Sorghum Sudan is a brown mid rib release using the latest BROWN MID RIB genetics. It is a sterile sorghum sudan that will grow 6 to 7 feet tall with very good regrowth after grazing or cutting. Hi-Test Brown Mid Rib traits drastically reduce lignin content in the cell walls thus increasing palatability and nutrient content (i.e. Relative Food Value) versus older conventional type hybrid sorghum sudans. Premium Sorghum Sudan is normally a NON-HEADING DAYLIGHT SENSITIVE BRAND. It has VERY GOOD EARLY
VIGOR, DROUGHT TOLERANCE, DISEASE TOLERANCE, REGROWTH and STANDABILITY. Premium SS II expands
the harvest options due to the headless trait of this exceptionally high yielding, palatable product. By utilizing the headless
trait, Premium SS II, with favorable growing conditions, will continue to grow in height until harvested. Seed heads may
appear when sunlight each day is less than 12 hours and 20 minutes. Seed count is approximately 14,000 to 15,000 per
pound.
