Forage Sorghum
RSC CATTLE KING II Cattle King II is a conventional sterile Forage Sorghum that will reach
7 to 9 feet in height and maturity in approximately 85-90 days. It may be HAYED, E NSILED, or used
in a WINTER GRAZE-OUT PROGRAM AFTER FROST. This Forage Sorghum PRODUCES E XCELLENT
NUTRIENT CONTENT (i.e. Relative Food Value), HIGH PROTEIN and a SWEE T LEAFY FORAGE. It displays
improved genetics from our previous Cattle King line. E arly season vigor, very good drought and disease
tolerance, and good standability separate Cattle King II from older impure cane type public and forage
sorghum. CATTLE KING II REACHES ITS SUGAR CONTENT PEAK AT BOOT STAGE OF MATURITY.
RSC ROCKY TOP BMR Rocky Top BMR Forage Sorghum matures in approximately 85-
90 days, growing to a height of 6 to 7 feet. The Rocky Top Brown Mid Rib Trait reduces lignin content in
cell walls, thus increasing palatability and nutrient content (i.e. Relative Food Value). This reduction in
lignin content attributes to better consumption, more complete nutrient utilization and MORE PROFIT PER
ANIMAL U NIT. Rocky Top BMR may be HAYED, E NSILED or used in a WINTER GRAZE-OUT PROGRAM
AFTER FROST. HIGH NUTRIENT CONTENT, HIGH YIELDS and the NEWEST GENETICS COMBINED enable
producers to achieve higher crude protein levels versus older conventional or public types of cane forages.
RSC HI-LOW HI-LOW Forage Sorghum is named for its “HI” grain content and “LOW” stalk height.
This conventional type will produce plants 6 to 7 feet in height and produces a large seed head maturing
in approximately 100-110 days. Standability, drought and disease tolerance are all very good in HI-LOW
Hybrid Forage Sorghum. It has VERY GOOD GRAIN TO STALK RATIO, PRODUCING HIGH NUTRIENT
CONTENT SILAGE (i.e. Relative Food Value). If you are looking for sorghum silage with E XCELLENT E ARLY
SEASON VIGOR THAT STANDS WELL AND PRODUCES A LOT OF GRAIN, HI-LOW Forage Sorghum is the
choice for your livestock operation.
RSC CHOPPER STOPPER II Chopper Stopper II Forage Sorghum produces a plant
8 to 10 feet in height with E XCELLENT STALK TO GRAIN RATIO. It is a 105-115 day forage sorghum
that exhibits very good standability, excellent disease and drought tolerance. Chopper Stopper II Forage
Sorghum is a conventional type and has excellent early vigor. BIG GRAIN HEADS COMBINED WITH TALL
LEAFY, HEAVY STALKS CONTRIBUTE TO E XCEPTIONAL YIELD POTENTIAL. With proper fertility and
growing conditions, the producer can expect very high nutrient content (i.e. Relative Food Value) and a
consistent performance.
